Shirley Peterson's Big 60th Birthday Bash

We gave our friend Shirley a surprise party for her big 60. I was scared that it wouldn't work, but she had no clue, so I was successful. We have been friends for 27 years now and I love her dearly. I am so glad that I have a friend that I have so much fun with.

Thanksgiving 2008

It's Thansgiving Day. We had Eric and Heather with us from Utah. Jeff and Lexie, and Dylan also joined in to our wonderful day.
As you can tell from the pictures we had fun in the kitchen, as well as Heather and Lexie having a fun day doing makeup and hair. Lexie loves her aunts to come and do her hair. She always feels very special when they fuss over her. Dylan had fun with uncle Eric and Grandpa, and of course daddy.
We have alot to be thankful for this year. We have been very blessed in so many ways.
We missed our other children and grandchildren that were with other family members, but we want them to know we love them so much. Kent and I have a wonderful family, and we are so blessed.

Dylan's Birthday

Dylan turned Three. He was so excited and felt very big. He really enjoyed the park, and seeing the sheep. He also liked swinging and going down the slides.
He liked all of his presents, and loves playing with his airplane. It was nice to be a part of his big three, and to see him blow out all of his candles.
He is a good boy and loves to be with his daddy.

Halloween 2008

Some pics of our activities for Halloween. We got together on Thurs. night and carved our JackOLanterns for our Halloween night. The kids had so much fun, and Lexie liked getting all gooey with the insides. It was so fun to be all togeather and doing fun things. Dad and Joel had to miss out because of work.
The next night was Halloween, and we spent the day getting ready. Lexie's and Dylan's costumes were so cute, and they had a great time trick and treating with their dad. They were gone about 3 hours and came home very tired. It is nice to see them have fun as a family.
By the way Lexie was a Priate, and Dylan was Frankinstien.
They pulled it off very well.

Stake Breakfast

We went to the first Stake breakfast this morning. They had pancakes, and link saugages. Juice, milk, and water to drink. They had a good group even though we went close to the end since we had to wait for Jeff's children. It was fun and we hope it becomes a tradition.

Kent and Merlene has been married over 35 years and find they love each other more than ever. We have been blessed with five children, Alisha Despain, Kevin Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Eric Anderson and Joel Anderson. Each are different and each are special to us.

We have lived in Henderson, Nevada for nearly 27 years and I think we will be here for life. Who knows?
